how to work with us
We know you feel hesitant & unsure who to hire. So let's make it easy.
Start w/one question:
Does your home have a mold problem?
Not sure? Then you need data. If you’re not ready to commit to a full inspection yet (which can range from $4k+), start with our DNA Dust Test (ERMI). It tells us whether your home has a mold problem, helps us build a health risk profile, and determines what actually makes sense next.
Did you answer YES? If you know you have a mold problem, then start with Onboarding before you hire anyone else. This doesn’t matter WHERE you are in the timeline (see roadmap below). We'll help you get some structure around what you're dealing with, give you insight into what it’s going to take, and what to do next. Keep reading…
onboarding
Most people with a mold problem are trying to do one of two things:
Fix the mold concern in their current home
Find a safer, healthier place to live
If you’re here, you’re probably trying to make sense of something that feels too big & too important to get wrong. Mold affects your health & your sense of safety. It can feel like you’ve lost control. I know this because I lived it & because I’ve spent years helping clients through it.
These two problems require MORE then just one conversation to get it right.
It requires CONTEXT.
Investigation.
A sequence of steps.
This is a project that unfolds over time, and we treat it that way.
What to Expect
When we take on a client, we're not just looking at the building.
We're looking at you.
Your symptoms, your sensitivities, your history, your treatment
The way your body responds to different environments
The timeline of what has happened in your home
How the home has been maintained
The data you have now, and the data you still need.
Every project is personal.
Your health risk, your budget, your goals, your fears, your child, your needs, your season of life … these details shape how we guide you. What makes sense for YOUR family may not make sense for another, even in the same house with the same problem. That's why we don't do generalized advice.
We don't tell you what to do (although sometimes I know ppl wished we would)…. But we do make sure you understand your options, your limits, and what each decision actually means. We're here to give you your control back.
In real life, that looks like:
Helping you decide if remediation is worth it at all.
Helping you understand why "every home has mold" doesn't mean every home will make you sick, and how to find one that won't
Helping you hire the right inspector, one we’ve already vetted & worked with.
Identifying what’s most severe & what will actually IMPACT your health.
Reviewing reports & data before more money, time or energy is spent.
Helping you weigh whether to remediate vs sell vs move, based on health, cost & feasibility.
How It Works
Onboarding is how you enter our practice. It's the foundation for everything that follows.
It starts with a forensic investigation into your case. Peter and I review your intake, your reports, test results, photos, videos, your health profile. Before we ever meet, we're already deep in your case. We're cross-referencing your test results with your symptoms. We're looking at your photos and flagging what doesn't add up. We're mapping your health timeline against what's happened in the home. We're reading between the lines of inspection reports that missed things. We're building a full picture, so that when we get on a call, we're not asking basic questions. We already know your case. We're ready to talk strategy.
Then we meet for your 1-hour Kickoff Zoom to build a plan of action.
This gets you oriented. It gives you validation, comfort, structure, and direction. From there, you'll have a game plan and a 30-minute follow-up that we'll tell you when to schedule.
After your two onboarding calls, you'll continue meeting with us through additional client-only sessions booked in our private portal. Most projects require a minimum of 4–6 appointments, depending on where you are when you start.
Most women come to us scared, overwhelmed, and unsure who to trust. It’s powerful to watch them leave this process confident in their decisions, in control, and at peace in their home again.
